The Faculty Council agreed for distance learning (online) during the 1st semester of Mobile Mapping and Navigation System programme in 2020/2021 academic year.

Taking into consideration consequences resulting from COVID-19 pandemics, like mobility limitations, the Faculty Council prepared necessary documents to allow distance learning during the 1st semester of our master studies. This decision is intended to guarantee that everyone can start and complete the first semester, regardless of where they come from. Furthermore, this decision would also bring some financial savings for potential students. The official procedure to change the form of classes using distance learning methods and techniques for all subjects of the 1st semester has been initiated. Faculty Council has already given a positive opinion on this change. We believe that teaching introductory courses (core subjects/fundamental subjects) with on-line learning methods is sufficient to provide students with proper knowledge. Students will be well prepared to meet in Warsaw next winter and start education in a traditional manner with more advanced classes during the 2nd and the 3rd semester. The programme and learning outcomes for MM&NS remain unchanged.

What are the benefits of online learning?

  • Study anywhere - our programmes can be fully studied online wherever you are.
  • Lower cost of study - the total costs of distance learning education are generally lower than on-campus studies. You will save on the costs of travel and accommodation in Warsaw during the 1st semester.
  • Comfortable and less stressful - you will have the comfort to stay at home and take a participation in the 1st semesters, no matter the situation will look like.
